Hi, I’m Felix. I was born in Bucharest, Romania and moved to Italy at the age of 11, where I resided till the age of 24, when I left for the United Kingdom, where I currently reside.
Formally a LAND SURVEYOR, I’m a meticulous 2D DRAUGHTER and 3D MODELLER, with an eye for detail, quick learner and oriented towards theoretical knowledge. Long-time user (since the age of 16) and extensive experience of AutoCAD, proficient at reading blueprints, proficient in 3D Studio Max.
Highly willing to learn new software and techniques. Particularly passionate about architecture, technology and especially of the creative and technical processes involved in video game creation.
I speak Italian, English and Romanian, and have basic knowledge of Esperanto.
I aim at positions such as 2D/3D CAD DRAUGHTSMAN/TECHNICIAN or 3D GENERALIST.
Formally employed by Waterslade Ltd., the aforementioned company is the technical department of Point 2 Surveyors, one of the biggest Rights Of Light/Daylight & Sunlight practices in the UK. My role is that of CAD Technician, and involves 3D Modelling of buildings and surrounding masses based on 2D Topographic and Elevational Surveys and/or 3D Laser Scan Surveys in AutoCAD. The role also involves the undertaking of accurate assumptions when data is missing and scene preparation for analysis. Minor emphasis is also given to rendering (albeit in a relatively straightforward fashion, with very little degree of freedom in terms of rendering setups and artistic licenses) and plotting.
Curricular internship, organized by the school, for a medium- to high-end furniture shop. The internship consisted mostly of acquiring knowledge about interior design and product design; we also designed one of the exposition rooms.
Freelance, over-the-internet job. Vectorialized half a dozen 4-view raster blueprints of vehicles in Adobe Illustrator. I was congratulated by the employer for the high fidelity and amount of detail of the final products.
Curricular internship organized by the school in collaboration with the province’s Catasto (land registry office). Constited mostly of observing several types of tasks performed there, such as releases of authorizations to build, upon examination of the urban and sub-urban land division; examination and catalogation of aerial photogrammetric surveys; introduction to the about-to-be-implemented central computerized catastal system; etc.
Physics coursework, partially attended.
